The Park Hyatt Phu Quoc is inspired by the strong family ties in Vietnamese culture, offering a sophisticated home-away-from-home where one can gather with extended family and friends. PHPQ is situated in one of the most unique and beautiful beaches on Phu Quoc Island Vietnam with stunning views ranging from the hilltop to the ocean. The villas pay homage to the traditional Vietnamese cultures, featuring exquisite handcrafted lacquer, rattan and bronze, alongside reinterpreted contemporary architecture and artwork. The concept is generated from the fishing village traditions of Vietnam, as well weaving, pottery and ceramics. They are a resourceful and creative people and this project reflect this. Streets and pathways are woven throughout the site to create this village concept. Waterways, green nodes, plazas and lush gardens cover the entire site to unify the master plan. The resort is designed to be reminiscent of a tranquil Vietnamese village with its bamboo paths and green terrace rice fields. The 65 villas are modelled after traditional Vietnamese houses and arranged around a myriad of site features in and out capturing the essence of the great site we have here in Phu Quoc. From this is born a totally pedestrian friendly hill and sea side village holding a great lake and overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
